Would running synthetic gear oil in my 5 speed help my wore out tranny?

I have a 5 speed in my Camaro and the syncos are getting tired for 2nd gear, would running that expensive full synthetic help at all? or what gear oil would you suggest in my position? thanksWould running synthetic gear oil in my 5 speed help my wore out tranny?
depends. if it's really the gears, then no, however what many people think is tranny problems is actaully b/c they haven't kept up on fluid cahnges... in which case, yes, it'll help.Would running synthetic gear oil in my 5 speed help my wore out tranny?

You could try it but I would say no. If they're just starting to go, it may help a bit.
