How to check gear box oil level on sceinic?

i have a renault megane sceinic 1.4l 2002 plate.do i check the gear box oil with the dipstick or is it seperate from the engine oil?How to check gear box oil level on sceinic?
It will be separate from the engine oil, I don't know this vehicle but some manual trannys have a small dipstick that you may have to look for the are often buried down lower, if not then getting underneath and checking it by unbolting the oil level cap on the side of the tranny is your only other optionHow to check gear box oil level on sceinic?
The gear box oil is definitely different from the motor oil. There should be a plug on the side of the gear box if the oil runs out when you remove it, the level should be fine. Check the manual for the type of gear oil to use, it is usually 80 or 90 weight.
