Where does the gear oil go?

I believe i need gear oil for my Kia 2001 manual transmissions while driving the car it lost compression and the gears did not work. Could i need gear oil if so how do i go about putting it in?Thank you for your input.Where does the gear oil go?
Gear oil is not compression related. It is drive-train related (ie..trans-axle, differential)Where does the gear oil go?
HEY JOSE P. give me more info how do you know it lost compression? what kind of testing did you run on your engine?

did you do a compression test your car is not that old to have compression problems sorry! and your engine has nothing to do with the transmission, manual transmissions can go years without adding oil unless it has a leaking

i'll wait for more info
Gear oil goes in the manual transmission gearbox or the differentials.

If you lost clutch pedal pressure, you might need to check to see if your clutch master cylinder is low on fluid. Use brake fluid to top it off.

It is not very clear as to what you are describing by ';lost compression and the gears did not work.';

Are you talking about the clutch pedal feeling soft or just going to the floor? (See above)

Gear oil does not go into the engine! Engine oil does. A lack of gear oil in the transmission will cause it to make growling or grinding noises while driving, and make it hard to shift gears. If it has been driven long enough with very low or no gear oil in the tranny you may have ruined the transmission.
there should be a plug on the side of the tranny.take it out and squirt some oil in it till it starts to run out.make sure the car is level and not running.dont forget to put the plug back in.
in the engine
Yeah, ummm if you lost compression the transmission is the least of your worries at this point. I would have the car towed to your repair shop and have them check it out. you have most likely blown the head on the motor or seized the engine up.
See a mechanic before you do something thats gonna cost ya alot of dinero because you don't know whacha doin
If the car lost compression,it has nothing to do with the transmission,sorry
