1995 FLHR, what kind of gear oil you think i should use in the primary case?

HD has that 3 in 1 stuff, i heard you can even use 10w-40 motor oil in primary. any suggestions??? tankQ in advance!1995 FLHR, what kind of gear oil you think i should use in the primary case?
Back in the day when I rode a bike with a separate primary case, I used ATF because it was compatible with the clutch plates. You still need to think about that today if you are going to use motor oil. Use an oil with any one of these ratings:


JASO MA


API SF


API SG

rev tech puts out primary oil. Motor oil is designed to lub. at approx185-220degrees faren. primaries don't get that hot neither do trannys ,so when you go to the shop to get your supplies, don't take no bulls----.Oil;for the engine/ tranny oil for the trans/primary oil for the primary. It is not the same oil in three different packages.
