Hazards of engine oil ingestion and gear oil ingestion anyone?

Just thought of this really. Yeah it's to do with my um interests, but what are the real dangers of swallowing a little or a lot of both engine oil and gear oil/diff oil? I'm assuming it's dangerous but I don't know exactly how/why.Hazards of engine oil ingestion and gear oil ingestion anyone?
Your interests? That's a strange statement...

If you type in MSDS in google, you can find a website which has the material safety data sheet on the product. Once you find a good site, you can type in the stock number or nomenclature and find all the hazard information. Once you sift through all the garbage that nobody understands, you will eventually find the info you're looking for.

An MSDS is usually about 4 pages long and has everything you need to know about the hazards of a product.Hazards of engine oil ingestion and gear oil ingestion anyone?

Transmission fluid, used to lubricate automobile transmissions, is mainly composed of mineral oil. Transmission fluid is flammable at high temperatures and relatively non-toxic unless swallowed or aspirated (sucked into the lungs during swallowing or vomiting). Used transmission fluid contains environmentally toxic heavy metals, including lead. The heavy metals in used fluid can cause severe nervous system damage to wildlife and other animals if disposed of improperly.
