How much gear oil do I put in my 2003 Yamaha YZ250?

I have heard I should use as much as .79 quart. Does anyone know the exact amount? I have a race tomorrow morning and would hate to seize the thing.How much gear oil do I put in my 2003 Yamaha YZ250?
