2004 Honda CR 85 How do you check the gear box oil level and what grade oil is required?

I just puchased the CR 85 and can't see where to check the oil and I don't have a owners manual2004 Honda CR 85 How do you check the gear box oil level and what grade oil is required?
It has an oil level ';check bolt';

Right Crankcase Cover #12

Hold the bike straight up and down (as if you were sitting on it).

Remove the check bolt.

Add oil until it starts to drain out of the hole.

EDIT - Then stop adding oil.

When it stops draining, re-install the bolt.

Any quality brand name 4 stroke motor oil is fine.

You'll hear a lot of naysayers saying, only use oil made for motorcycles.

I'm not going to get into that debate again.

If just put'in around 10w-40 is good

If using in racing conditions, or for long periods of time, use 20w-50 - it won't thin out as fast as a lighter grade.2004 Honda CR 85 How do you check the gear box oil level and what grade oil is required?
