I believe it takes about a bottle and 3/4 of another plastic bottle of rearend lube, I think one of those plastic bottles are a quart, Im not sure but when I did my 10 bolt chevy rearend thats what it took.

How many quarts of gear oil does a GM 10 bolt rear end take?
I know it should be to the fill hole...but just tell me how many it needs. It's on a '98 Chevy 1500 4x4.How many quarts of gear oil does a GM 10 bolt rear end take?
