I'm about to change the engine oil today. want to get some suggestion on which brand i should go for. i used to use Chevron, but there is no on sale for it. Shell gets 89 cent ea. just want to know which one i should go for.
btw, my 00' plymouth neon gets around 52000 miles and 06' Toyota Rav4 gets around 7500 miles.

What ever you deside on stick with it, they are both equally good but if you switch oils the different detergent compounds in each can cause sludge buildup when mixed. Personally i wouldnt go with either one. I Go with Penzoil. But if i had to choose between those two i would go with shell
i use Mobil one synthetic oil ,without a doubt that has to be the best oil ever made so far,and it is worth the difference in the price,i have put it in new cars as well as old cars,and it helps anything perform and do a lot better,i have it in my truck right now,and it even gets a little better mileage than it did,but id recommend it to anyone ,it also helps save your engine from wearing out as fast,I'm a true believer in it now,i wont use nothing else,and i own a repair shop,so i have recommended it to other people also,good luck on it hope this helps.
Of the two oils chevron is probably the best for you to use, but I would use Mobil or some other synthetic. Be sure to have your oil filter changed.
Any Name brand oil is good oil just use the viscosity rating for your car
