Anyone in here ever used Royal Purple gear oil? Can you really use it alone without adding friction modifier?

Can you really use the Royal Purple Max Gear Oil by itself without adding any additional friction modifier additive so their website says.Has anybody in here ever used this stuff before?Anyone in here ever used Royal Purple gear oil? Can you really use it alone without adding friction modifier?
if you are using a lsd rear end i think that i would use the additive just to ensure that the rear end is not doomed to fail. the stuff is not that expensive, and i would just rest easier if i had it in there. Yous houldn't have to add ';friction modifier'; or anything else for that matter if you're using gear oil that's correct for your application. If you have a limited slip differential, any gear oil with the correct weight will do, but some have special labels that say ';ok for use with LSD';. The truth is, it really doesn't matter these days.
Inever tried the gear oil but have used the engine oil %26amp;the only difference Icould tell was the huge price tag %26amp;a pain to find!!!
